A full mouth restoration is a treatment plan which includes multiple procedures to restore the health and appearance of your teeth and gums. The end result can provide you with a fully functional mouth, a beautiful new smile and restore your self esteem and confidence.
What?
A full mouth restoration is not what we call an All-on-X procedure where either/and your upper and lower teeth are replaced with permanent arches which are only indicated in extreme cases. Treatment options for a full mouth restoration are listed, and pictured, below.
Why?
Over time, your teeth and gums may have incurred extensive damage due to decay, enamel erosion, wear and tear, periodontitis (gum disease) or from some sort of trauma. A full mouth restoration is a treatment plan which includes a variety of restorative, reconstructive and cosmetic treatments to achieve success. The restoration is accomplished through several treatments over a period of time.
Who?
If you have multiple missing or chipped teeth, cracked or broken crowns, severe decay, or enamel breakdown, you may be a candidate for a full mouth restoration.
Restoration options.
The restoration is tailored to your particular needs.
It can include one or more of the following procedures or treatments:
Dental implants or implant dentures to replace missing teeth.
Teeth whitening to remove yellowing or stains.
Invisalign to straighten crooked teeth.
Porcelain veneers to reshape and enhance the appearance of teeth.
Porcelain crowns to restore damaged teeth and provide a solid support structure and natural-looking appearance which will aid in chewing and protect remaining healthy tooth material.
Gum disease treatment to return the gums to a healthy state.
Tooth colored fillings to treat decay and remove old metal fillings.
How?
The first step is to have a thorough consultation with one of our dentists.
During this consult, we will discuss your goals, your situation, your general health, and do a thorough evaluation of your mouth. We utilize the latest digital scanning techniques so we can see first hand the condition of your mouth, teeth and gums.
Prior to commencing any restorative treatment, we need to address issues of gum disease or infections of the mouth. This can include a deep cleaning, and oral antibiotics and rinses, which can help prepare your mouth, and body, for a full mouth restoration and proper healing.
The result.
When your full mouth restoration is complete you will be overjoyed. And so will your mouth and teeth. You will have a natural smile which you will proudly show off. You will have eliminated the potential of infections spreading to other parts of your body. Finally, once again you will find eating an enjoyable experience.
