ALL-ON-X IMPLANTS
The All-on-X Process
The first thing we do is schedule a consultation to assess your needs, your overall health and medical history, and your suitability for treatment.
We utilize state-of-the-art digital imaging and technology which aids us in evaluating your treatment plan and designing the precise implant placement procedure.
While All-on-X may seem like a scary process, one needs not to worry. Your comfort is paramount to us. We offer a variety of sedation choices, including oral sedation, lidocaine injections, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) or IV sedation which places you in a semi-conscious state (sometimes called twilight). See more about our sedation choices here.
Once you decide that All-on-X implants are the right choice, there are two steps required for you to get a new set of teeth.
Step 1 We need to remove any existing teeth and strategically place implants into the jawbone. Until such time as the implants take hold and the jawbone heals, which can take a few months, we will make you a set of temporary prosthetic teeth.
Note, after the initial procedure, you will experience some swelling, discomfort and minor bleeding, but we will provide you medications and instructions to help you manage these symptoms. You will want to eat soft foods for a few days.
Step 2 When the big day comes, we remove the prosthetic teeth and replace them with your permanent arches.
Once complete, you will have a full set of natural looking teeth which have been custom crafted to fit the contour of your mouth and face. Your new smile will be contagious.

Who Is a Candidate for All-on-X Implants?
Ideal Candidates for All on X Implants
All-on-X dental implants are designed for individuals who are missing most or all of their teeth in one or both arches. Whether you've lost teeth due to decay, injury, or age-related issues, this procedure offers a permanent, stable solution to restore your smile and improve your quality of life. It's especially beneficial for those who are tired of dealing with the inconvenience and discomfort of traditional dentures.
Considerations: Gum Health and Bone Density
While many patients can benefit from All-on-X implants, your overall oral health plays a critical role in determining if you’re a good candidate. Healthy gums are essential, as they provide a stable foundation for the implants. Additionally, the success of All-on-X implants depends on having enough bone density in your jaw to support the implants. If you've experienced bone loss, your dentist may recommend procedures like bone grafting to enhance your candidacy.
The Role of an Oral Health Evaluation
Before moving forward with All on X implants, your dentist will conduct a comprehensive oral health evaluation. This includes assessing your gum condition, jawbone structure, and overall oral hygiene. Imaging techniques like X-rays or 3D scans are often used to ensure there is enough bone to securely anchor the implants. Based on the evaluation, your dentist will create a personalized treatment plan that addresses any pre-existing conditions and ensures the best possible outcome for your All on X implants.
By working closely with a skilled dental professional, you can determine whether All on X implants are the right solution for restoring your smile.
Comparing All on X to Other Tooth Replacement Options
When considering tooth replacement options, it’s important to understand how All on X dental implants differ from traditional methods like dentures or single dental implants. Here’s how All on X stands out:
All on X vs Traditional Dentures
Traditional dentures rest on the gums and are removable, which can lead to discomfort, slippage, and difficulty with eating certain foods. Over time, dentures may also contribute to bone loss in the jaw, as they do not stimulate the bone the way natural teeth or implants do.
On the other hand, All on X implants provide a permanent, fixed solution. They are anchored securely to the jawbone using strategically placed implants, giving you a natural look and feel. With All on X, you don’t have to worry about dentures slipping or affecting your speech, and you can enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions.
All on X vs Single Dental Implants
While single dental implants are an excellent solution for replacing individual missing teeth, All on X is designed for patients who need to replace an entire arch of teeth. Placing a single implant for each missing tooth can be more invasive and expensive, especially for individuals who have lost most or all of their teeth.
With All on X, only four to six implants are required to support a full arch of prosthetic teeth, making the procedure less invasive, faster, and more cost-effective. It also provides immediate results, allowing patients to leave the clinic with a new set of teeth on the same day as the implant placement.
Advantages Over Other Alternatives
-
Permanent and Secure: Unlike removable dentures, All-on-X implants are fixed and offer a long-lasting, stable solution that doesn’t shift or need to be removed.
-
Aesthetics and Functionality: All on X provides a more natural appearance and improved functionality compared to traditional dentures or bridgework. You can speak, eat, and smile confidently without concerns about movement or discomfort.
-
Bone Preservation: Because All-on-X implants are placed directly into the jawbone, they stimulate the bone and prevent the bone loss that is common with dentures. This helps maintain your facial structure and prevents the sunken appearance often associated with tooth loss.
-
Immediate Results: One of the biggest benefits of All on X is that patients can have implants placed and leave with a new set of teeth in a single day, eliminating the waiting period associated with other methods.
Cost of All-on-X Dental Implants
The cost of All on X dental implants can vary based on several factors. While the initial investment may seem significant, it's important to understand what contributes to the overall price and why this treatment is a long-term investment in your oral health and quality of life.
Factors Influencing the Cost
Several key factors can influence the cost of All on X dental implants, including:
-
Number of Implants: Typically, four to six implants are placed per arch. The exact number of implants required depends on your unique dental and bone structure.
-
Materials Used: The quality of the implant materials, including the type of prosthetic teeth and the implant screws, can affect the overall cost. Higher-grade materials offer better durability, longevity, and a more natural appearance.
-
Additional Procedures: In some cases, patients may require additional procedures like bone grafting or sinus lifts to ensure there is enough bone to support the implants. These procedures can impact the overall treatment plan.
-
Expertise and Technology: The experience of the dental team and the use of advanced technology, such as 3D imaging or computer-guided surgery, can influence the procedure’s precision and success, which is also reflected in the cost.
Why It is a Long-Term Investment
All on X dental implants provide a permanent solution that can last a lifetime with proper care. Unlike traditional dentures, which may need frequent adjustments or replacements, All on X implants are designed for durability and functionality. This long-term approach not only saves time and hassle but also eliminates the need for ongoing dental work that comes with other options. Additionally, the implants help preserve your jawbone, which prevents bone loss and maintains your facial structure, contributing to better overall health.
Financing and Payment Options
Many dental practices offer flexible financing and payment plans to make All on X implants accessible. These plans often allow patients to spread the cost over several months or years, making it easier to manage the financial aspect of treatment. Some practices also accept dental insurance, which may cover part of the procedure depending on the provider. It's a good idea to discuss payment options during your consultation to find a plan that fits your budget.
Investing in All on X dental implants not only restores your smile but also enhances your long-term dental health, making it a wise and lasting choice.
